Curly Hairstyles
Some women may think that a head
full of ringlets is too much to manage. But the truth is, given some
extra care and attention, hair that is curly can make a woman look
extremely sexy. With the right tools and skill, achieved through
practice, even the wildest tousles can be tamed and managed.

The pattern may be curly, loose,
or kinky. According to texture, it may be coarse or fine. And according
to type it may be Afro, Boticelli, corkscrew or wavy. Afro curls are
very tight and appears to be almost wiry; Boticelli is S-shaped in
appearance; corkscrew is small and tightly-wound; while wavy refers to
loose waves of hair that do not really curl or coil.
Whether you want to curl your
straight hair or enhance your natural curls, the products and tools that
you would need include a curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner, a
diffuser for your blow-dryer to help tame curls, rollers to reform curls
as they cool down after blow-drying, curling iron to fine-tune curls
into perfect ringlets, and a frizz-fighting serum that also helps to add
shine. However, if you already have a great cut that enhances your
curls, a long finger diffuser will do; there’s no need to heat up those
gorgeous tresses again with a curling iron.
Washing is important to curly
hair. Frequency of washing, though, will depend on which part of the
planet you live. If you live in a place where your hair is often exposed
to sun, dust, and sweat, then you may have to wash your hair daily.
Since curly hair is prone to dryness especially at the tips, using a
shampoo and conditioner specially designed for curly hair is a must. You
should also go for a regular deep moisturizing treatment once a month at
the very least; if your curls are coarse, though, make once-a-week
treatment a habit.

Never raise a brush to your
curly hair as this will straighten the ringlets and promote frizz. Use a
wide-toothed comb, instead, but don’t comb often. Style when wet and use
fingers to go through hair once it’s dry to preserve the curls. Let your
hair air-dry; use the blow-dryer only when absolutely necessary as it
zaps out the moisture from your hair fast. If you can’t avoid the
blower, a weekly hot oil treatment would be your best bet to combat
moisture loss and hair dryness.
